Here we are at our 40-day “Off-The-Grid” Challenge.

Please join us in welcoming this new Off The GRID team! Today is the first day of their programme, and we appreciate your prayers for them as they embark on this 40-day journey with the Lord and their teammates.

It’s absolutely incredible how time flies! We can’t believe it’s already six weeks ago, when we all first met and now our 40 days are now over.

Hello family, friends and readers, as we write this blog we are preparing to enter our last week on OTG, but first …

COUNTDOWN…

At the start of our third week, we had no time to lose. We left Basecamp early in the morning and headed to the Abel Tasman National Park for our three days kayaking trip…

Why this title you ask? This week we have faced some spicy challenges physically and spiritually and yet overcoming these has been fulfilling.

First week done – here we go!

We cannot believe it is our last day on Off The GRID! Time has flown by so quickly, but we have learned to appreciate every moment with each other.

Since this was our last tramp on Off The GRID (don’t worry, we aren’t completely done yet!) we thought we’d share how far the team has come, specifically some of the challenges we have had to face, to encourage future teams.

The week began with a hive of activity as we made ready our tramping supplies for a departure directly from church.

Monday of the third week we set out to conquer the high seas of Abel Tasman National Park.

It started out as a rainy week in Sunny Nelson, so the team packed up and headed off on a tramp!

After some thirty-hour flights (or a half hour drive for one of us!) everyone has arrived safely at Basecamp, and we finally got to meet our teammates!

For the last week of Off The Grid, we hit the road!

We jumped into this week headfirst! Both figuratively and literally. Some of our team members decided to go against all human instinct and jump out of a perfectly functional airplane.

We started this week with another Sunday morning in church. We enjoyed spending time in prayer, worship, listening to the sermon and getting challenged.

Week 3 was a pretty awesome week from the beginning to the end!
